PrintBritish designer Simon Spurr continues to fill sharp, clean cut tailoring with equally sharp, clean cut models in his Spring 2010 collection. The palette of crisp white, deep navy, salmon, and yellows from butter to mustard recall a charming world of Nantucket summers or a lazy, drink-filled daze in the English countryside from which Spurr hails. Pairings like pale yellow with creamy brown, or pure white with vintage denim are both classic and refreshing in an effortless sort of way.
Meanwhile, from skinny white jeans rolled to the ankle to wide legged or silky light trousers, pants reigned supreme. It seems a well-fitted pant can make the outfit, and moreover, Spurr is the man to go to for this. If you’re having trouble finding that perfect pair (or the money for it), spend some time with a local tailor and make your pants your own.
